Please see Matt's professional profile below.
Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University in 2006. Throughout high school and college Matt gained practical experience as he worked for civil contractors and the county engineer's highway department during summers. Upon obtaining his engineering degree, Matt began work as an engineer with the Ohio Department Transportation. While at ODOT, Matt learned the process that a project undergoes from start to finish as he worked in the Planning and Construction Departments of District 3.
After his tenure with ODOT, Matt joined an established engineering consulting firm where he spent four construction seasons providing construction administration services on public projects in Northern Ohio. The field experience gained working as a project engineer inspecting and administering roadway and waterline projects, as well as a laborer and co-op previously, have provided Matt with an invaluable amount of practical experience. This experience is used as a platform in all projects that AEG undertakes.
Matt obtained his Professional Engineering license from the State of Ohio in 2010 and has been providing design and transportation consulting services on roadway and site development projects since then. Additionally, he is knowledgeable in preparing funding applications and project scopes for local municipalities and government entities.
Matt has over ten years of experience working on the construction and design of ODOT and ODOT Local Let (LPA) projects. In addition to being a Professional Engineer, he is a registered Certified Professional in Sediment and Erosion Control (CPESC), Prequalified Construction Engineer Level 2 by ODOT, and serves as the Chairman for the City of Vermilion's Stormwater Advisory Committee.
